Davis Arms & Historical Museum in Claremore is not only home to the largest privately-held firearms collection in the world but also thousands of non-firearm artifacts, ranging from Old West saddles and spurs, John Rogers statuary, Toby mugs and beer steins, to World War I posters and Claremore and Rogers County history. Shipley (1864-1943), of Kansas City, Missouri, this youth saddle features a Spanish rig with full hand-set basket weave stamping in the tapaderos style. Mexican stock saddle and bridle made by Antonio Trevino of Monterrey, Mexico. This could have been the saddle of the Vaquero, who is the Mexican cowboy.
