November/December 2020 • OKC Pets 37 dogs remained, and she began her business as a full- time groomer just 18 months later. During her time grooming, clients began to request boarding services for their “kids” (as Grace has always referred to them). Before she knew it, she needed more space to take on more dogs for boarding. Just last year, after many years of hard work and dedication, Grace’s dream became a reality when she opened the Bunkhouse, a state-of-the-art boarding facility right on the property of Camp Grace. The Bunkhouse is an 1,800-square-foot climate- controlled boarding facility that offers the dogs indoor and outdoor access, a large fenced-in play yard to enjoy and 24-hour video surveillance. By appointment, the Bunkhouse is open to tour as well. The dogs receive love and attention from handlers during their stay at Camp Grace, and the staff truly focuses on making each dog feel like family. The facility offers both boarding and grooming to dogs of all breeds and sizes as long as they are up to date on vaccinations. The staff has experience handling dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. One of the most unique benefits of Camp Grace is that the owner lives on the property and can arrange drop-offs or pickups 24 hours a day. In addition to this feature, Camp Grace also offers flexible, by-appointment hours in order to meet the needs of pet parents and their hectic schedules. Grace prides herself on offering “the next best thing to home,” and client testimonies confirm she follows through on that belief, whether the service provided is grooming dogs with different temperaments or medical needs, training or overnight stays.
