38 OKC Pets • November/December 2020 Dogs that come for grooming are treated like kings and queens by the “Dream Team” of groomers, who have several decades of combined grooming experience. Grace explains that over the last few years, her team of groomers has started to form an amazing flow by recognizing where each groomer on the team shines and putting all of those strengths together to offer their clients the best experience possible. In addition to Grace, who has over 20 years of grooming experience, the grooming team is made up of Carol Garr and Janelle Duncan-Wookey. Carol has more than 40 years of grooming experience and has worked with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. Carol also offers obedience and behavior training, which proves useful in the grooming experience. Dream Team member Janelle also holds a plethora of knowledge due to her 38 years of experience in the grooming world. Grace also explains that Janelle is a great asset because of her knowledge of behavioral issues and skin issues related to diet. “We respect each other and really take pride in our work,” Grace says, explaining how they often all work together to find grooming solutions that make the dogs most comfortable with the least amount of time on the table while also providing solutions that work for pet owners as well. Rounding off the Dream Team is Camp Grace Manager Amy Mullen, who keeps operations running and clients happy, and Brad Douglas, who works to keep the Bunkhouse spotless and all of the dogs happy and loved during their stay. “We do our best to accommodate all grooming and boarding needs; for example, if a client lives far away and cannot make the trip twice, we will book a grooming appointment and get their dog groomed while they wait.” Camp Grace is happy to offer evening or weekend grooming appointments as well.
