A love for animals motivated owner Kristin Remington to start the business, which is based in Jones. “I’ve had pets — dogs, cats, lizards, turtles, rabbits, snakes — ever since I was a child. I don’t recall a time in my entire life when I didn’t have a dog,” she said. “I love taking care of animals.” Critter Concierge’s services include pet-sitting for dogs, cats, and other pets and taking care of horses, cattle, and other farm animals. The company is insured to provide pet taxi service to take animals to the veterinarian or groomers. It also offers pet-plus-owner taxi rides if owners need assistance transporting themselves and their animals to pet appointments. In addition, animal owners can hire Critter Concierge for pet-supply and farm-supply pickup and delivery and for washing and repairing horse blankets. Remington, who has more than 20 years of experience in the health-care industry, says that other than providing veterinary or grooming needs, she will do pretty much whatever she can to help people with their pets. “Animals give you everything without asking for anything in return, and so I feel this responsibility to take very good care of them,” she said. “All animals love you unconditionally, and I think it’s people’s responsibility to take excellent care of their pets because they didn’t ask to be with us, they didn’t ask to live where they live.
