OkcPets Magazine July 2021

July/August 2021 • OKC Pets 23 Earl’s has six locations in the area and is 100% locally owned. However, the Brick- town location is by far the more popular one as it overlooks the Bricktown canal and offers ample outdoor seating. Patrons and pets can enjoy a festive night with a great atmosphere. The restaurant can even boast of a direct connection to Elvis Presley as the original “Earl” (Earlywine Jackson) was a personal chef for the king. The nostalgic pictures that adorn the interior even refer- ence that fact. Our group was seated at a table on the patio. Service was great as they immediately brought out a water bowl for the pups and filled it with ice water while simultaneously serving us water and bringing menus. I have eaten at this restaurant on multiple occasions and have never been dissatisfied with the service, portion quantity, quality or price of food. This time was no exception. I ordered the rib plate with extra onions as I love onions with my barbeque (I know, I’m weird like that). On multiple trips, my pups have been treated to rib and brisket end pieces or even a pork shoulder bone. They don’t do this every time, but they did on this visit—of course, the pups were delighted and grateful. By our visit’s end, we agreed Earl’s offers great barbeque, a fantastic dog-friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices and gener- ous portions. This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting the Bricktown area and receives five paws from our dog attendees and five hands raised from their human counterparts.
