A locally owned pet boutique and grooming “pawlour,” The Sparkly Spot offers full-service, breed-specific profession- al grooming, high-quality pet care basics, healthy pet food and treats, fun toys and designer pet couture. “We carry a lot of toys, treats, collars and har- nesses,” says owner Amy Rine. “Brands include Huggle Hounds (toys), Bocce’s Bakery (treats), Susan Lanci (collars) and Puppia (harnesses). We just started carrying Bonne et Filou dog macarons.” The Sparkly Spot has been around since 2013, and Amy has been grooming pets for eight years. She loved the business so much, she “scooped it up” from the previous owners, her former bosses. “There’s so much I love about my job!” Amy shares. “Getting to work with dogs every day is the best! I love the relationships we form with the dogs we see and their owners. With many of our customers, we feel like a part of their family.” Amy’s own family includes her fiancé and their white Schnauzer. “She’s the apple of our eye,” Amy says. “She’s got the biggest personality in a tiny, little body.
