I’m sure all of you horse lovers out there remember your first en- counter. Did you have horses galloping in your stomach from nervousness? An aspiring writer, Emily describes her first ride. We applaud her courage to both ride and write about her experience. Kudos to you, Emily, and it’s obvious you’re a lifelong animal lover! On the health front, you can read all about colic workups and the impor- tance of equine dental health. You will also learn about the Bureau of Land Management’s majestic mustangs in these pages.
