WELCOME, NEW ADVERTISER (PtHA) and the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA). “The PtHA provides discounted memberships and registrations for the horses we adopt out that qualify for their breed,” Persechino said as an example of how the partnership works. “Someday, we’re hoping to have a class for these horses in transition to show in at the Pinto World Championship and the Color Breed Congress. We want to give the people who adopt these horses an opportunity to show them off on a big stage.” With no ceiling for their capacity at the El Reno facility, Persechino and his team have at least 12 horses in their care at any given time. Their main focus is on intakes and outcomes, which means they will never turn away owners and their horses, mules, or donkeys. “These horses just need an opportuni- ty to find a better situation,” Persechino added.
