The Harrah location is the fifth CrossRoads campus and the first in Oklahoma. Four campuses of CrossRoads Cowboy Church exist in Arkansas, in the communities of El Paso, Pleasant Plains, Natural Dam, and Bismarck. El Paso, the first location, is celebrating 10 years of ministry this year, and each campus has its own dedicated pastor. “Some churches have gymnasiums, but we have a rodeo arena,” says Philip Fortenberry, pastor of the Harrah campus. “Sometimes we host a horse show, a barrel race, bull riding, or a rodeo. While people are participating in these events, we use the opportunity to invite them to church.” Fortenberry graduated from Texas A&M University and cowboyed at various locations, including King Ranch. Later, he was director of family reconciliation at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor John Hagee. Then Fortenberry was inspired to plant a church in a large stable/arena. CrossRoads Cowboy Church keeps church simple and welcomes you to come as you are. Boots and hats are common but not required. Services are held at 6 p.m. Sunday at 1875 North Luther Road in Harrah. “If you’re interested in checking us out, reach out!” Fortenberry says. “You don’t need to be a cowboy or cowgirl to feel like you belong. We have a diverse group with a combined purpose.” For more information, text or call (210) 859-2287 or follow on Facebook. WELCOME, NEW ADVERTISER
