New contributing writer Carol Mowdy Bond provides an article on the art of saddlemaking. Clinton “Doc” Hole has been making saddles for 13 years, and he has an interesting story. Prior to his saddlemaking, he was a champion horseman, so he has been up close and personal in the horse industry for many years. Read all about him on page 24. We also include Part 2 of “Oklahoma’s Cattle Trails” by Jason Harris, curator of the Chisholm Trail Museum. These historical articles on the cattle trails are quite interesting and full of historical facts. We’ll include a final Part 3 in our next issue.
