The Right Path consists of five thera- peutic equine-assisted programs: 1. Wil- liam’s Walk Therapeutic Horseback Rid- ing and Cart Driving benefiting children and adults with unique challenges (the core and original program); 2. Hooves on the Ground benefiting veterans, active duty and first responders; 3. Trailblazers Youth Enhancement benefiting teen development; 4. Horse Tales Literacy Project benefiting 1st grade reading programs and field days; and 5. Mini Adventurers, bringing the joy of mini horses to the mobility impaired. Julie Jones, of The Right Path, says the nonprofit’s benefits reach even further than the program participants. “I believe that time spent at The Right Path benefits anyone who is living life facing challenges,” she says. “This includes all of us—staff, volunteers, participants and families. We all come for different reasons, but the healing power of the horse helps process emotions and gives us strength to face the next challenge.  “I am blessed to spend my time raising support and making sure that we can continue to offer our services at no cost to participants or volunteers. The smiles of participants are worth every moment of what we do.” This year, The Right Path is celebrating its 25th anniversary, themed “Celebrating the Past; Funding the Future,” with a fundraising gala on July 24 at Tidewater Winery and a free open house celebration on July 25 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the ranch.
