For a lot of people, it’s one of the hardest things they will ever do. And for good reason. For some people their pet is their only companion, their only “child,” the one “person” they see and talk to every day of that pet’s life. The grief is sometimes compounded when they have no one to turn to who understands. Their boss wants to know why they can’t come to work or their friends say things like “you’re still sad over that dog?” or they may feel guilty at being more upset over the loss of their pet than when a human family member passed away. At Angel’s we want you to know that we understand. We get it. GRIEF IS HARD. We are always here for you in your time of need and beyond. Although we had to end our monthly grief group, we are here to lend an ear anytime. We also have lots of resources available both online and in book form that we will show you in the coming issues to help you through your journey. Remember, GRIEF IS HARD and no two people grieve the same. It’s your journey in your own time. — Angel A. Askins, owner
