4 TulsaPets • January / February 2023 C heers to another year as we kick off 2023. Here’s to health, wealth, and happiness for you, and may all your days of 2023 be merry and bright. This January 2023 issue also marks the beginning of 17 years for TulsaPets Magazine! We’re starting a new program in hopes of helping our local pet rescue organizations. We’re more than well aware of the critical pet overpopulation problem in the area. Shelters are maxed out, rescue organizations need fosters, volunteers, and money. And it’s the homeless animals that bear the brunt of the situation. We’re hoping that some local Tulsa companies will sponsor ads for local rescue organizations. Ads that solicit volunteers, fosters, and donations would make a huge difference in the day-to-day operations of the local rescues. The sponsor would of course receive special recognition for their contributions. It’s a win-win! We want to give a big shout of thanks to Mary Murray’s Flowers for our first sponsor of T-Town TNR. Thank you, Mary Murray’s, for your generosity! We’re kicking off this new issue with some great reads. We’re proud to feature world-renowned artist P.S. Gordon and his two adorable dogs for our Pets and Their People feature, and Kelsey Warren- Bryant lists some good ideas for you and your dog’s bucket list.
