The family-run company specializes in sales, cleaning, and repair of various kinds of rugs. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday. Empire Optical When you walk through the door at Empire Optical, you will see three doggy employees — Ruth, Elton, and KC. “Ruth has been working at Empire for almost four years, Elton for two years, and KC for one,” says Evan Hargrove, owner of Empire Optical. “They all enjoy playing fetch and get superexcited when customers bring their dogs in to play. They are all rescues and have been doing great here. All of them are very calm dogs and regular stars on our social media.” Each dog has a specific role at Empire, Hargrove explains. “Ruth (six years old) is our security dog and will regularly walk around the store to make sure we’re all doing our jobs and to be petted. She is also our part-time glasses model. Elton (four years old) is still in training. He is scared of everything and usually naps in the of- fice. KC (six years old) just graduated from obedience class, and we’re trying to train her to show people back to the lab when they come in for an adjustment or repair.” Empire Optical, at 3220 East 21st Street, Suite 100, provides prescription glasses with designer frames, sunglasses, and contact lenses. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday. To get in touch with Empire Optical, call (918) 744-8005 or go to https://www.empireoptical.com .
