TulsaPets Magazine November 2021
Anything but ordinary Bear Clover 2021 has been anything but an ordinary year for the Tulsa SPCA. Unfortunately, we’re still experiencing the financial affects of the pandemic as our revenue is down $70,000 compared to last year in key categories. But despite the circumstances, the need in our community was, and still is, great. This year, in addition to our normal intakes, we responded to numerous hoarding cases, rescuing nearly 100 animals as a result. We also stepped in to assist with disaster relief efforts, taking in cats and dogs from Louisiana in advance of Hurricane Ida. Additionally, we’ve seen a significant increase in food distribution services (738 homes served) and cruelty investigation requests (410 cases resolved) as well as a continual need for our low- cost veterinary clinic (6,797 animals treated). We’re so thankful for our team who has rallied together to do some extraordinary things in an anything but ordinary year. Please help us to continue our life-saving work by making an end of year donation. We couldn’t do any of this without your support. Help us give cats and dogs in the Tulsa community the second chance at life they deserve. www.tulsaspca.org/donate
